Cookie policy

Last updated: · Effective version
This cookie policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on QR Generator at https://qr.alexjungean.com. It should be read with the privacy policy. It is issued with Law no. 506/2004 and the ePrivacy rules that apply in Romania and the EU.
1. Summary
The application does not set first-party cookies. It does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB to store payloads, logos, or settings. It does not use advertising, analytics, or social pixels. No cookie banner is shown because the service does not place non-essential cookies.
Loading the site still uses HTTPS and may create ordinary server logs at Netlify, Inc.. Those logs are not cookies.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a site asks the browser to store and send back on later requests. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, pixels, and certain fingerprinting techniques. This policy covers those categories together.
3. What this service does not set
The published generator and legal pages do not set:
- first-party identification or session cookies;
- third-party marketing or analytics cookies;
- consent-platform cookies;
- application writes to localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB.
Automated browser tests on the public tool routes expect the cookie jar and web storage to be empty after load. That is a product invariant, not a marketing slogan.
4. Browser storage
Previews and exports may use temporary object URLs and in-memory buffers. Those are revoked or released when no longer needed or when you use Reset. They are not durable cookies.
Your browser may cache same-origin documents, scripts, styles, fonts, and images under its own HTTP cache rules. You can clear that cache in the browser. The service does not use cache as a user-tracking store.
5. Hosting and strictly necessary technology
Netlify, Inc. delivers the site. A CDN or edge platform may process technical request data described in the privacy policy. If the host ever attaches a strictly necessary cookie to deliver TLS, absorb abuse, or route a request, that cookie would be used only for that technical purpose. The application itself does not read or write such a cookie.
See https://www.netlify.com/privacy/ for the host’s own notices.
6. Consent
Access to information stored in your terminal equipment is allowed without consent when it is strictly necessary to provide a service you requested. Delivery of this public website and local generation in your browser fall in that category. The service does not use additional cookies that would require opt-in consent.
If a future version introduces non-essential cookies or similar tracking, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be added before those technologies are used. That change is not authorised by the current product specification.
7. Your controls
You can block or delete cookies and clear site data in your browser. Doing so does not stop local QR generation, because the generator does not depend on cookies. Blocking all site data may still affect how any website, including this one, is cached.
The service does not respond to a Global Privacy Control signal with a cookie change, because it does not run a cookie-based advertising or sale system.
8. Other sites
If you follow a link to https://alexjungean.com or another host, that site may set cookies, including bot-protection cookies. Those technologies are outside this origin and outside this policy.
9. Changes
This policy may change if the application, the host, or the law changes. The date at the top is the effective date. Effective date of this version: 20 August 2026.

The English and Romanian texts describe the same service. If they differ, the English text at /cookies prevails, without limiting any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights that apply in Romania or the European Union.
